The journey then takes you to Jaisalmer, the Golden City of the desert, where you can enjoy a boat ride on Gadisar Lake, a traditional puppet show, the magnificent Golden Fort, Jain Mandir and historic Havelis. Experience the thrill of dune bashing and a camel ride at Sam Sand Dunes along with a traditional Rajasthani folk dance. 

Day 1 –Jodhpur

After breakfast, tour guests will gather at ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj Domestic/International Airport, Mumbai, as per the scheduled flight departure time. Fly to Jodhpur city, renowned as the Blue City of India, boasting many palaces, forts, and temples set against the stark landscapes of the Thar Desert. In the evening, explore Bishnoi village, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural life of Marwar. Enjoy a village safari and dinner with Bishnoi villagers. After breakfast, explore the UmmaidBhavan Palace Museum, a nearly 75-year-old architectural marvel transformed into a museum showcasing artistic murals, opulent miniature paintings, vintage clocks, and unusual household paraphernalia. In the afternoon, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, standing four hundred feet above the skyline of Jodhpur. The fort, burnished in red sandstone, is an impressive colossal structure. Explore MotiMahal, the largest room in the fort, adorned with a ceiling decorated with Gold Leaves, Sea Shells, and Mirrors. Visit PhoolMahal, the pleasure dome of the Maharajas, Sheesh Mahal, a decorative mirror palace with brightly colored paintings, SilahKhana, the place where weapons were stored, DaulatKhana, the treasure vault, and Rang Mahal. Later, visit JaswantThada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble, also known as the TajMahal of Marwar. Witness the Sanganeri Block Prints Demonstration, showcasing a hand-block printing technique originating from Sanganer. In the evening, enjoy free time for shopping.

After breakfast, proceed to Jaisalmer – the Golden City of the desert, renowned for its yellow sandstone architecture. Upon arrival, enjoy a blissful boat ride on Gadisar Lake, surrounded by temples, shrines, and ghats. Later, savor a delightful puppet show, a preserved ancient folk art of Rajasthan. After breakfast, explore Jaisalmer City. Visit the Golden Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the few living forts globally, as nearly one-fourth of the population still resides within the Fort. Next, explore Jain Mandir, carved in yellow sandstones and dedicated to Jain hermits known as Tirthankars. Visit the PatwonkiHaweli Museum, a palace built in the early 1800s, now a museum featuring intricate carvings, furniture, and artwork. Explore Nathmaljiki Haveli. Later, visit Kuldhara, an abandoned village believed to be cursed. Proceed to the famous Sam Sand Dunes. Experience thrilling Dune Bashing over the golden sands, take a joyful Camel Ride, and witness the red-orange splash of sunset on the horizon. After breakfastToday we proceed to Bikaner – former capital of princely state of Bikaner and known worldwide for its savoury snacks BikaneriBhujia. En route we visit the Jaisalmer War Museum – established in the military station in order to honour the soldiers of the ‘Battle of Longewala’ that was fought in the year 1971. It embraces the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Army. Upon arrival we visit Asia’s biggest Camel Research Farm to get up close with the different camel breeds and baby camels.

After breakfast, we begin the day with a visit to Karani Mata Temple – a Hindu temple dedicated to Karani Mata, renowned for the approximately 25,000 black rats that live and are revered in the temple. Later, explore the Junagarh Fort – an impressive structure standing regally, epitomizing architectural brilliance. The fort’s dazzling and exquisite structures, including balconies, gardens, and kiosks, depict a composite architectural style influenced by the cultural differences of Indian and foreign inspirations. Witness AnupMahal, GajMandir, Sheesh Mahal, and the Prachina Museum and Sadual Museum. We then proceed to Mandawa – a quaint town in the heart of the Shekhavati region, popularly known as the Open Air Art Gallery of Rajasthan. The town is adorned with paved archways, magnificent havelis, and fortresses. Check into the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Bikaner.

 

After breakfast, explore Mandawa Fort, adorned with paintings of Lord Krishna and featuring artistic carvings and amazing mirror work. Enjoy some free time to relax and explore the surroundings.
